June 14th, After School

[For once, Hiroshi's the first in the club room. Somehow, he feels a sense of melancholy, thinking about leaving this school behind. He knows that the new school will have more funding, more opportunities, a brighter future. But leaving this place behind, and everybody he knows... Okay, he can visit like Haruhi does, but that's hardly the same, is it?

His dad had given him an earful about going out in the woods in the middle of the night for pointless things, too. He'd tried to explain it as just a thing to do with friends -- watching stars, and the like -- but he seemed to think that the loss of sleep would be detrimental to his education. Of course.

He wanted to talk to Souji some more about his feelings -- candidly, calmly, man-to-man -- but he hadn't been seen at school that day. Of all the days he would end up being sick, too. Just his luck. Well, might as well come here and read until the others show up.]

Ah... good afternoon. I trust you slept well after this weekend?

[He sighs. Well, if anybody should probably be getting her rest, it's Chiyoko. He pulls his school coat off and puts it over her for now.]

[ before she lets out a sigh and lets her eyes flutter shut again ]

[He nods quietly. He's certain she'll be running around busy later.]

She probably wore herself out. We were rather active on Saturday, after all. Someone in her condition has rather low energy.

Ah, I suppose you would not know about that. Chiyoko, well, has been ill for a long time. She moved here because this place has a reputation for better air, but it means she is rather easily exhausted. I understand that is rather hard to believe.

She went along with it even knowing what her health was. Because she works so hard for everybody.

I admit to not being the most enthusiastic pursuer of the supernatural, but I will still miss this club when I leave.
