[Magic isn't necessary in a world where science could provide so many more tangible possibilities. This is what Hiroshi believes. And if he could get Maria to see how fascinating reality could be too, all the better.
Thus, this little trip. Nothing too fancy, just a trip to the woods. Nature abounds here, after all, and with it comes the myriad of marvelous scientific discoveries that come with it. She has to be able to appreciate THAT much at least, right? Even if he can't dissuade her completely completely from this witch nonsense, at least he can plant some seeds.
